Brunch near the Retiro (Madrid): what brunch at Stillroom in Los Jerónimos looks like
· Updated

Brunch near the Retiro, from Wednesday to Sunday. We are on Calle Moreto 9, a three-minute walk from Retiro Park and two from the Prado Museum.
A brunch two minutes from the Prado
Stillroom is a small, minimalist and very bright gastro cocktail bar. In the morning, plenty of natural light pours in.
What makes this brunch different is not only the setting. On the shelves, fermentation and infusion jars sit alongside a copper still.
That same bar that turns out signature cocktails as evening falls devotes itself, at brunch time, to coffee and ferments.
What you eat at our brunch
A short menu made with craft. Eggs, toasts, bagels and sweets, to share or to build a full breakfast.
Eggs Benedict
Two toasts, two poached eggs, cherry tomato and a leaf mix.
What sets them apart are the three sauces that come with them: classic hollandaise, beetroot sauce and sweetcorn sauce. A contrast of colour and acidity you do not often find at brunch.

We explain how we put them together in our guide to eggs Benedict in Madrid.

- Avocado and Salmon
- Avocado and Bacon
Scrambled eggs and toasts
The scrambled eggs come with two eggs, two toasts and the topping of your choice. Creamy, cooked just right, no frills.

To drink: coffee, mimosas and house ferments
The coffee is classic and well pulled: ristretto, espresso, cortado, café con leche or cappuccino. To refresh, a classic mimosa and fresh orange juice.
We make our own ferments. The roasted pineapple tepache is a live, lightly fizzy drink, with sweet and sour notes.
The raspberry and strawberry lacto-ferments are fermented soft drinks, alive and full of nuance, fermented in house, in the jars you see as soon as you walk in.
- Ristretto, Espresso, Cortado, Café con Leche, Cappuccino
- Fresh Orange Juice
- Mimosa
- Raspberry Lacto-ferment
- Strawberry Lacto-ferment
- Roasted Pineapple Tepache
And the bar is up and running from the moment we open. Alongside the brunch menu you will find five cocktail classics, something almost no brunch in Madrid serves at that hour.
- Bellini
- French 75
- Cosmopolitan
- Gimlet
- Piña Colada
When brunch ends, the plan continues

On Friday and Saturday we close after brunch and reopen at 19:00: the bar turns into signature cocktails and the night runs on until 01:30. On Sunday there is no break: vermouth takes over in the afternoon and we carry on until 23:00.
